Data such as patient names, birthdates, and Social Security numbers from more than 16 million medical images of patients worldwide are unprotected on the Internet, according to a report by ProPublica and Bayerischer Rundfunk, a German broadcaster.

Persistent atrial fibrillation is an irregular rhythm that lasts for longer than seven days. This type of atrial fibrillation will not return to normal sinus rhythm on its own without treatment. Persistent atrial fibrillation can be reported with codes from ICD-10-CM subcategory I48.1- (persistent atrial fibrillation), which will be a new subcategory for fiscal year 2020.
