The virus has been exported to more than a dozen countries, and the WHO declared the outbreak as a global emergency after the number of cases spiked tenfold in a week. First person-to-person coronavirus infection occurred in Midwest. The respiratory virus was spread from a woman who had recently traveled to China and gave it to her husband when she returned to Chicago, according to the CDC. The agency says members of the public do not need to wear masks out of concern for the coronavirus. Got phone-scammed? FTC may get you a refund. People can call 1-877-FTC-HELP or file a complaint on the Federal Trade Commission’s website. The FTC has mailed about $17 million in checks to 78,000 Minnesotans since July 2018.
