County purchases new firetruck with grant funding

This is the second firetruck Richland County has purchased using Community Development Block Grant funding. The first truck was purchased in 2016. The truck will serve the Lower Richland community from the Capital View Station.

Cubico acquires 102-megawatt Midlands solar project

The Calhoun County project is the London-based renewable energy company’s third in the state. The project, which has a 20-year power purchase agreement with Dominion Energy, brings Cubico’s S.C. solar capacity to more than 300 MW.

Scientex Packaging Film investing $43M in Lancaster County

The $43 million manufacturing facility is being built on Grace Avenue in Lancaster. It is expected to create 69 jobs, and operations are slated to begin by January 2021. The Malaysia-based company also has a U.S. facility in Phoenix.
