Richland County rental assistance program to launch April 5

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program, funded by a U.S. Treasury grant, will provide up to 12 months of rental and utility assistance for eligible households. The application process opens April 5.

Initial unemployment claims drop by 2,300 in week

South Carolina saw 2,752 initial claims filed for the week ending March 13, a decrease of 2,394 from the previous week. Three counties saw more than 200 claims filed, including Richland County with 243.
