The Advocate's Top Headlines

with Kelly P. Kissel | Metro editor

Good afternoon. Here's a look at our top stories today.

Drive-thru changes

Members of the Baton Rouge Metro Council want restaurants with drive-thrus to provide service to pedestrians and others if the main doors to their establishments are closed. The Council isn't going as far as punishing restaurants that don't, but they say the pandemic highlighted the need for expanded service.

Snow way

Yes, way. There's a chance of snow in parts of Louisiana this weekend. It shouldn't reach into southern Louisiana, but still the words "Louisiana" and "snow" aren't used in the same sentence very often.

It's Carnival season

Join us tonight for our second "Mardi Gras for All Y'all." The celebration, which we started last year after festivities were shut down because of the pandemic, will be available through practically all our platforms tonight, starting at 7.
