Charlbi Dean's family have shared touching tributes to the South African model and actor.

The Triangle of Sadness actor died in New York City on Monday of an unexpected sudden illness. A representative for Dean confirmed the reports to AFP via email, saying: "It's devastating."

Alongside a photo of his sister on Instagram, Alex Jacobs shared a poem titled Kite, which he had written in tribute to her.

"I was unsure when writing this poem who it would be about, but life has answered my question in the most cruel way."
