Dear Mauldin Economics Reader,
SIC 2022 Daily Updates

Dear Reader,

If you’ve been wondering if there are still any places left to invest in the current tumultuous markets, SIC Plus-Day will deliver the answer.

Mauldin Economics and guest analysts revealed their favorite sectors and companies best suited to weather the current environment of massive inflation and extreme volatility.

RiskHedge analyst Stephen McBride pointed out that despite the steep selloff in the cryptocurrency sector, cryptos are really just getting started. “Some of them are real businesses with real products built under the blockchain,” he said.

One of his top picks is a crypto whose platform processed $11.6 trillion in transactions last year and “might become the main transaction platform for the global economy.” It also pays a hefty 4% dividend, which is about to double. Stephen believes that cryptos like this will end up being viewed more like dividend stocks.

Mauldin Economics analyst Thompson Clark revealed two of his favorite small-cap stocks from the High Conviction Investor portfolio. One of them was an undervalued company that is generating free cash flow and “maintaining a rock-solid balance sheet.”

Steve Blumenthal of CMG Capital Management Group said investors shouldn’t despair in this market, “but we need to do things differently than in the past.” He revealed a pharma pick—a successful company with a very special business model.

Chris Wood and Jake Weber, Mauldin analysts for biotech and healthcare, discussed three of their holdings from the Biotech Millionaire portfolio. Jake also explained how their proprietary C.A.S.H system helps vet biotech companies for upside potential.

Panna Sharma, CEO of Lantern Pharma (LTRN), talked about his company’s AI platform that has revolutionized drug discovery and development. One of their flagship drugs doubled the survival rate of patients in trials.

Marin Katusa, CEO of Carbon Royalty Corp., ended the day talking about natural resources and supply side issues due to the Russia-Ukraine war. He believes a transition of power from Putin to his successor is being prepared in secret.

He also talked about his past investments in rare earth elements, gold, natural gas, and his current involvement in carbon credit and ESG investing.
