Robb Report’s annual Best of the Best issue includes a run-down on the growing trend of high-net-worth individuals forgoing the purchase of homes in favor of renting. To meet the growing demand, white-glove boutique rental agencies, private clubs, and ultra-luxury hospital brands provide access to a frictionless lifestyle that offers all the comforts of a home but with none of the hassle and expense of home ownership. The editors also curated a selection of extraordinary residences around the world that represent the penultimate in their class, from Bob Dylan’s Aultmore House in Scotland to a cleverly named midcentury home in Palm Springs to the Armani Beach Residences at Palm Jumeriah in Dubai. And in New York, Hollywood A-lister Hilary Swank has put her two-bedroom pied-a-terre in the West Village back on the market for almost $6.9 million, a hefty discount on the $7.25 million she originally asked for when it first popped up for sale in 2022.
