RoboCup 2022, Bangkok
RoboCup was back in its physical form after two years of happening remote-only and the 2022 edition was organized in Thailand this July.
Congratulations to the winners of RoboCup 2022 Soccer!
We congratulate team B-Human for the title win to become the world champions of RoboCup 2022 and for achieving an impressive feat of not conceding even a single goal while they scored just a couple less than 50 during the whole of the tournament.
Team
B-Human
, formed by the collaboration of students of
The University of Bremen
and the
German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI)
, emerged as the winners as they defeated the team
HTWK Robots
of
HTWK Leipzig University
in the final match. They also won the Visual Referee Challenge where the robots had to visually recognize and replicate referee gestures.
United Robotics Group
and
SoftBank Robotics
were the global sponsors of
RoboCup 2022
. NAO, the first-ever humanoid robot of
Aldebaran
, is used by all the teams in the Soccer Standard Platform League.
We hope to see all the teams of 2022 and a lot of new ones in
RoboCup 2023
in Bordeaux!
