Observe Rotary Foundation Month

Celebrate Rotary Foundation Month in November by having your club highlight the Foundation’s achievements in fighting disease, promoting peace, and building healthy communities.

Visit the Rotary Foundation centennial site and use the resources gathered in the centennial promotion kit to promote your events, spread awareness, and empower your clubs with the good accomplished by our Foundation in its first 100 years.

We also have another cause for celebration in this Foundation centennial year. Charity Navigator, an independent evaluator of charities in the United States, recently upgraded the Rotary Foundation’s rating to the highest score possible — 100 points. This rating indicates that your foundation follows best practices and
executes its mission in a financially efficient way.
Improvements to our grant process

Watch for exciting changes to the grant process next month when the Grant Center debuts. Check back on My Rotary to see the updated look and streamlined application process, particularly for vocational training teams. We’re confident that these changes, which are based on your feedback, will make the grant process simpler and faster.

Watch for more information, and spread the word to members in your clubs and district. Direct any questions to your Rotary grants officer.

Training tip

Virtual training tools overcome distances

Busy schedules make traveling to events difficult.  So, try using a service like Skype as a virtual training tool, to accommodate participants’ schedules and to expand your choice of speakers. Using Skype provides flexibility and saves money.

You can use Skype to share your screen, show videos, and demonstrate the features of an online tool. Finally, be sure to record your training for those who missed the initial session.
