Rotary Scholar provides access to education for Afghan women

Bethany Lerch is the founding president of the Rotaract Club of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA, and a former Coalition Military Advisor in Kabul, Afghanistan. With the help of Rotary members in Wisconsin, the former Rotary Scholar founded the Afghan Education Project to give Afghan women access to advanced degrees in the United States. The project has confirmed her belief that, through Rotary, changing the world is possible.
