How close are we to ending polio?

Watch an update on our progress toward creating a polio-free world. Top global health experts and Rotary's polio ambassadors gathered at the headquarters of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia, on World Polio Day, 24 October, to hail progress made by Rotary and its partners.

Virtual Reality films bring a new dimension to polio fight

At this year’s World Polio Day celebration in Atlanta, Rotary harnessed the power of virtual reality technology to build empathy and inspire action in our fight to eradicate polio. The two films will travel to San Diego for an audience with Rotary leaders at our annual training event in January, and will be available to the public later in the year.

Why I joined Rotary

Eleven years ago, Stephanie Witkowski took part in a Rotary Youth Exchange to Slovakia. After her exchange, she stayed connected to Rotary by serving as a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards counselor. This year, at the age of 28, she decided to join Rotary to once again give back to the organization that has given so much to her.
