Time to say goodbye to our one-hit-wonder summer day. Temperatures are expected to plummet tomorrow, with highs in low 60s in the Twin Cities. And scattered frost could get close to the Twin Cities by Friday morning.

ICYMI: Minnesota is one of the only two states that allow unlicensed midwives in the country. As more women choose home birth here, even some midwives warn the state’s hands-off regulatory approach poses a danger to mothers and babies. Others say government should stay out of the decision and that women should be allowed to choose who helps them give birth. Reporter Catharine Richert looks into midwifery services and home-birth-related regulations in Minnesota.

Husky given green light to rebuild Superior refinery
Husky Energy says it has received approval for its $400 million plans to rebuild the Superior oil refinery and plans to begin construction immediately. The explosion and series of fires in April last year injured 36 people, caused a temporary evacuation and damaged the refinery’s equipment and storage tanks.
