**NEW: Read Write Inc. Comprehension**

We developed Read Write Inc. Comprehension to increase children’s reading fluency and comprehension, and to improve writing by developing their vocabulary, grammar and spelling knowledge.

Read Write Inc. Comprehension follows on from Read Write Inc. Phonics. There are 14 weekly Modules each containing a fiction or non-fiction text and a range of comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, spelling and writing activities.

If you’ve been trained on Read Write Inc. Phonics and have taught the Blue or Grey Storybooks, you will be able to teach Comprehension. Many of the activities are similar to Phonics - follow the handbook carefully for the new ones.

Publication was on 12 March, and you can get a free module on Oxford Owl now. (Training will be available in September.)

DfE Phonics Roadshows
