“The Simpsons” has been renewed for its 29th and 30th seasons, making it the longest-running scripted TV show of all time with a total of 669 episodes. And two of TODAY’s Take’s Monday hosts have appeared on it in cameos: Al Roker (as himself) and Jane Krakowski (as Bart’s piano teacher). The previous TV record holder: “Gunsmoke,” with 635 episodes.
