Thank you for joining us each day in learning about the amazing saints featured in Saint of the Day. These women and men inspire us through their lives and deeds. Yesterday, we celebrated St. Didacus who, after he became a Franciscan brother, developed a reputation for great insight into God’s ways. His penances were heroic. He was so generous with the poor that the friars sometimes grew uneasy about his charity. What a great example for all of us to follow.
Unfortunately, though, there has been a shift in our culture over the past 20 years. And, with the decrease in the number of friars, it's getting harder to help spread the Gospel at a time when we need it the most.
