And so Day 2 of training camp is in the books, and the New Orleans Saints are still getting used to life without Drew. Of course they are. But as Rod Walker put it, the show must go on. Time waits for no one, and the Saints didn’t just spend this first week without Drew Brees; they’re also trying to replace others, too — Thomas Morstead, Janoris Jenkins, Sheldon Rankins and others. Long story short: A lot of this is new. There is, however, some good news: Friday marked the first time since 2019 that fans were on hand at 5800 Airline Drive. If you weren’t there (or even if you were), take a pass through our photo gallery and check out all the hot fun you might’ve missed. Elsewhere: Day 2, of course, offered the next round of insight on the Jameis-vs.-Taysom battle. Take a look at the raw numbers, some thoughts on those numbers and the moment of the day from our Luke Johnson. Luke also wrote about a familiar face, Tommylee Lewis, returning to fill out the depleted receiving corps. Check out some more practice observations from our Amie Just, including insight on punter, defensive line and in the nickel package. Amie also wrote about yet another receiver, Chris Hogan, who was not only out of football but planning his next step in lacrosse. To our paying subscribers: The fun is just beginning.
