Hello, hello! This is Terrin Waack checking in for the Saturday edition of the Saints Insider newsletter. The date is Nov. 12, 2022. Let's get started. The Saints (3-6) play the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-6) on Sunday at Acrisure Stadium in Pennsylvania. The Week 10 game is set to kick off at noon and air live on FOX. Pack warm if you're making the trip! Here are the latest and greatest headlines from yesterday's coverage: - While the Saints are having to travel after a short week, the Steelers are coming off a bye, which makes matters worse for New Orleans fans. Pittsburgh is 11-4 in post-bye games since Mike Tomlin took over as head coach in 2007. Yours truly has the complete breakdown.
- The Saints ruled out five key players for Sunday's game, including four regular starters. The Steelers, meanwhile, only ruled out two players. Beat writer Luke Johnson has the full injury report.
- One of the starters who has been ruled out is Saints linebacker Pete Werner. That means Kaden Elliss may be called upon to step up. He filled in for Werner after his injury in last Monday's game. I wrote about Elliss' mindset heading into the game.
- We're at the midway point of the 2022 season, and there are five numbers that truly tell the story of the Saints' 3-6 record. Johnson dives into them and explain his picks.
- Episode 115 of the Dattitude podcast previews the Saints-Steelers matchup and dives into the continued Andy Dalton vs. Jameis Winston debate. Columnist Jeff Duncan has all the insight.
