Monte Cristo sandwiches are dipped in a seasoned egg wash and cooked on a griddle. They're a whole new type of sandwich, a quick meal when you need one.
The original was made with ham and Swiss and a layer of raspberry jam. The egg wash had a little dry mustard and pepper. We have three variations:
