Good evening,

Happy Monday! A new week amid this strange half lockdown situation we still find ourselves in.

However, there is an unmistakable sense of excitement and newness in the air as business battles to find its feet again and a new normal starts to adapt around social distancing and masks while out and about.

Meanwhile the fallout continues as the harsh realities of losing custom and revenue take the shapes of redundancies, closure of some of our favourite businesses and decimation of the high street - never before have we needed to pull together so strongly as a community as we do right now.

And the threat of the virus has not gone away with one Lancashire community - Blackburn - facing the threat of a local lockdown.

At lep.co.uk, as throughout this Covid-19 crisis, we have reported accurately and fairly through tumultuous times based on what you want to read.

Are we biased? Yes of course! We are biased toward Lancashire.
