Good morning,

Santos has asked the Federal Court to let it to see communications between the Environmental Defenders Office and a witness, discredited by the ruling judge, as it widens its damages claim for the months-long delays caused to its $5.7bn Barossa project.

Meanwhile, the Transport Workers Union has written to Virgin Australia’s owner, Bain Capital, to express its concern that a frontrunner for the airline’s chief executive role was found to be one of the architects of Qantas’s unlawful outsourcing.

And energy industry leaders say Australia needs to pick up the pace on the renewables rollout to meet emissions targets, tipping project approval timelines as the key issue.
