| In the Gallery Be quick if you want to see Kates Cones which closes on Saturday 9th July. We’ll miss having this riot of knitted confections by Kate Jenkins in the arches at ABTS. Her ice-cream cones and lolly lineup are utterly joyful. Up next, we’re celebrating the first anniversary of our gallery on the beach with our first Atelier Open. We’ve thrown the doors wide open to visual artists aged 16 and up working with any subject and medium. After carefully considering thousands of entries, the resulting show is an eclectic selection of 250 artworks by 130 artists. Expect paintings, prints, sculpture, textiles, mosaics and more. But will it all fit on the walls? Both the exhibition and website open to the public at 6.00pm on Thursday 14th July.

Other news There are many reasons we love our location right on Brighton Beach, and last week we enjoyed watching a pod of dolphins just a few meters offshore. There can’t be too many galleries where you can browse works by a carefully curated lineup of artists and makers while indulging in a bit of dolphin spotting? The shop and gallery are open seven days a week, from 11-5. Come and see us at 165 Kings Road Arches.
