EUROPEAN MONEY WEEK

To mark the 2021 European Money Week the European Banking Federation invites you to join  #CountingEveryoneIn: event series on financial literacy in Europe, with a special focus on the elderly, women and youth.

Boosting financial literacy has become essential for the well-being of citizens of all ages and social groups, especially in an interconnected society where financial services are delivered digitally.

Financial security at an older age: What do we need to prepare for?

23 March 2021 at 16:00 CET

The first event will offer an overview of the US study findings from a leading US study on debt, take stock of the retirement landscape in Europe and explore the need for research on later life debt in the region

Addressing the gender gap in financial literacy as part of a broader strategy for economic empowerment
24 March 2021 at 16:00 CET

The second edition will look at the benefits and challenges of, and best practices in, building financial literacy for girls and women.

Financial literacy for young Europeans:
Joining forces to help build a future-proof skillset

25 March 2021 at 15:30 CET

The final webinar will explore key challenges and opportunities for improving financial literacy among young individuals. Experts from across the globe will share best practices and recommendations on equipping youngsters with a future-proof financial literacy skillset.

About European Money Week:
The seventh European Money Week begins on Monday 22 March and will see financial education events organized across Europe by national banking associations and the European Banking Federation, as well as national finals of the European Money Quiz across Europe. This annual initiative – aligned with Global Money Week – now involves young people in more than 35 European countries, with activities ranging from online/ classroom teaching sessions to seminars and conferences, all seeking to improve financial literacy through better financial education. The European Money Week is an integral part of EBF’s mission to promote financial literacy in Europe through events, publications and partnerships.
