The combined platform will manage USD50b+ in assets. #PrivateEquity ◼︎ Engie Brasil Energia, the Brazilian arm of global renewable energy generation company Engie, acquired five photovoltaic complexes from Atlas, an energy company backed by Global Infrastructure Partners, for BRL3.25b (~USD656.3m). #RealAssets ◼︎ Advent International led a BRL1b (~USD200m) investment in Inspira, a Brazil-based K-12 education network operating 100 schools, with participation from CPP Investments. #PrivateEquity ◼︎ Baubap, a Mexico-based consumer lending platform, secured USD120m in debt financing from SixPoint Capital Management. #VC ◼︎ BTG Pactual completed a full acquisition of Brazil-based fund of funds Signal Capital after being a minority shareholder since 2020. #PrivateEquity ◼︎ Leste Group, a global alternative investment manager, acquired a majority stake in Prestige Cosmetics, a Brazil-based luxury perfume and cosmetics distributor. #PrivateEquity ◼︎ DST Global led a USD25m Series A for Yuno, a Colombia-based checkout platform for last-mile delivery startups, with participation from Tiger Global and follow-on from KASZEK, monashees and Andreessen Horowitz. #VC ◼︎ Upload Ventures led a USD20m round for Topsort, a US-based advertising solutions platform, with follow-on from Quiet Capital and Pear Ventures.
