* Gabe's Tips: * | CBD Smart
Here is how you become the smartest person in the room: be the one person who can answer all the questions on CBD. The one person in town that people will trust and take their CBD purchases to. You want to be that person, don't you? The only way I can help you is to point you to the experts. Start by going here. Continue on by registering for the free webinar; it's this Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12 pm EDT and again from 2 pm to 3 pm EDT. Merchandising CBD near your counter is not enough; you need to become the expert!
| | Candy Commandments
Ugh, I get it! Selling seasonal candy, especially Easter candy is tough. There are too many retailers out there ready to put things on sale way before the holiday, smushing our profit margins. These merchants are chicken to get stuck with bunnies. You are not one of those chickens. I was one of those chickens once, and I learned my lesson, I don't want to talk about it. You are going to place boxes of candy in the card racks! You are not going to carry every kind of Hershey's kisses ever made; you are going to stick to the original and original with almonds. You will avoid Easter bag candy packaging, and you are going to download the two-page Easter Sales – Worksheet (it's free). You are going to be fine.
| | Probiotic Profit
While in Tennessee presenting the half-day Profit Building Seminar, sponsored by Good Neighbor Pharmacy, a store owner thanked me for one tip that more than doubled his probiotic sales. The advice was to purchase a mini counter refrigerator to display probiotics. He added to make sure that the fridge had a glass door, light on the inside that stayed on, and a sign at the top that read. Ask our pharmacist if probiotics are a good choice for you. Here is where you can join me for the next Profit Building Seminar.
| | Dates to remember
Daylight savings time is tomorrow, Sunday, March 8th. Use this time to gently remind staff about the change and reset the timer for the security lights and lighted signs before closing today. St. Patrick's Day is Tuesday, March 17th. Start liquidating any St. Patty's candy you may have on Wednesday the 18th and make it a goal to have no St. Patrick's products on the shelf by Monday the 23rd, no need to have outdated product crowding your Easter lines.

* More from Hamacher Resource Group * | Managing chronic conditions across the entire store
Perhaps credit can be given to e-commerce sites such as Amazon or to changing consumer shopping habits, but in either case, limiting retail strategy to traditional, silo category management rules and practices no longer applies. Read more.
