| The University of Alabama’s athletics department has earned an updated motto that’s not quite as catchy as the traditional Parole Tide but is equally as damning. Wrong place, wrong time. But consider the overall, and Alabama looks like an extremely successful athletics department that is suffering through an unusual stretch of individual decisions that have ranged from questionable to criminal and have put the larger organization in a bad light. It’s incumbent upon Athletic Director Greg Byrne to reassure Alabama alums, fans and boosters that his department has done and will continue to do everything in its power to elevate its performance on the field and its behavior off it. |
