Unemployment claims drop again as state awaits guidance

Initial unemployment claims dropped below 6,000 as state officials cautioned additional federal benefits will likely not be available for several weeks. Richland County saw a state-high 583 claims filed for the week ending Aug. 8. 

Cherokee County begins 17-year planning process

ReWa and Clemson launch program to predict COVID-19 surge

Renewable Water Resources and Clemson University began tracking and analyzing COVID-19 levels in early June. Samples have consistently shown "significant" and "major" infection levels of the virus in Greenville County.
