S.C. Federal to acquire Florence-based credit union

S.C. Federal Credit Union will acquire Florence-based Health Facilities Federal Credit Union effective March 2. All aspects of Health Facilities will come under S.C. Federal’s umbrella. The Florence locations and all employees are expected to be retained, according to a news release.

Packaging manufacturer locating to Fairfield County

Ohio-based Pharmacy-Lite Packaging expects to create 33 jobs at its manufacturing facility and distribution center on U.S. Highway 321 South near Winnsboro.

IoT provider Noregon expands Greenville team

Noregon, an internet of things company that specializes in commercial vehicle solutions, announced plans to expand its current operations in Greenville County. The expansion is expected to create 13 new jobs.

Cantina 76 expanding Upstate Main Street location

The expansion of the Main Street Cantina 76 will add 30 more seats and create space for private parties, according to a news release. The expansion is expected to be complete in spring 2020.

Home Telecom awarded $8.1M grant for rural broadband in Lowcountry

The Rural Development Broadband ReConnect grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture will be used to develop 96 miles of fiber optic cable in rural Berkeley and Charleston counties. The grant will help create or improve high-speed broadband infrastructure in areas of Honey Hill, Huger, Awendaw, McClellanville, Cross and Sandridge.
