Real estate firm invests $1M in Greenville location

Real estate consulting company Armada Analytics has had a presence in Greenville for about 10 years, but a $1 million investment in a new facility at 104 S. Main St. will make it a national hub for employees and clients, says CEO Matt Legge. After a 10-year growth streak, the company has outgrown its original office and is on the hunt for underwriting and zoning analysts.

SETi expanding Richland County operations

The $55 million expansion of the company’s Atlas Court facility is expected to create 40 jobs. Founded in 1999, Sensor Electronic Technology Inc. manufactures and sells ultraviolet LED products for use in industries such as biomedical devices and appliances.

Charleston life sciences company expands production of COVID-19 tests

Vikor Scientific LLC will invest $1 million in an expansion that is expected to create 148 jobs. The company, located at 22 Westedge St. in Charleston, also specializes in full molecular panel testing kits.

Almost 20 years after closing its original headquarters, HTI returns to Greenwood. It’s not just nostalgia, according to CEO Herb Dew. The company believes Greenwood County has something special brewing in its labor pool and in its growing employer base — something that requires the services of professionals.

S.C. Ports continues to set records as global trade rebounds

The S.C. Ports Authority reached a record November as global trade rebounds. Last month, SCPA saw a 12% increase year-over-year in TEUs — an industry measurement of the equivalent of a 20-foot  container. In total, the port handled 207,066 TEUs at Wando Welch and North Charleston year-over-year.
