California manufacturer settles in Pickens County

California-based Peabody Engineering and Supply is establishing a foothold in Pickens County with a $5.6 million investment and new facility. The industrial polyethylene storage tank manufacturer plans to create 35 new jobs over the next five years.

Mercedes-Benz to temporarily shut down production for maintenance

The company said the South Carolina plant would shut down production at the end of December and re-open in January 2021. Mercedes-Benz Vans employs more than 1,700 people in the area and has been in operation since 2018.
