Two architecture firms are merging at the beginning of the year after working on several projects in the region. Charleston’s Cummings & McCrady Inc., which specializes in education, civic and historic preservation, is merging with Moseley Architects.

DHEC selects health care CEO as new director

Dr. Edward Simmer has been selected from among 83 applicants to lead the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control. The announcement comes as Gov. Henry McMaster, who must approve the selection, tested positive for COVID-19.
