Entrepreneur boot camp hosted in downtown Greer

The Greer Development Corp. will host its second business and startup bootcamp The Platform on March 11 and 12 for entrepreneurs seeking consultation for launching or growing a business in Greer. Feb. 24 is the deadline for the program. 

Upstate Mobility Alliance plans transportation discussion

The Upstate Mobility Alliance will host a virtual panel discussion on transportation from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 23. Initial unemployment claims drop by more than 2,000 in week

For the week ending Feb. 13, initial claims in South Carolina fell by 2,225 from the previous week to 4,475. Anderson County had a state-high 470 claims. Nationally, initial claims rose by 13,000 to 861,000.

Lowcountry companies recycle mattresses, resell parts

Two companies are working together to create a convenient way for residents to recycle mattresses. The products are dismantled and parts are sold to local companies to use for scrap metal, carpet padding, wood projects and more.
