BMW begins work on $20 million training center

Through a $20 million investment, BMW Manufacturing wants its future workforce to quite literally think outside of the box — and the classroom. BMW broke ground on a 67,000-square-foot training center on its campus as part of a five-year $200 million investment into its workforce.

Wednesday job fair to give veterans early entry

More than 90 employers are seeking to fill around 2,900 positions in the virtual event, co-hosted by the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce. The event begins at 9 a.m. for veterans and 10 a.m. for the public. 

AC Hotel opens downtown Greenville location

Located at the corner of Main and Broad streets in Camperdown Plaza, the eight-story AC Hotel features 196 guestrooms and suites, nearly 29,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a private collection of art featuring more than 100 works by 35 local artists, and seven food and beverage concepts. The first of those dining options opened along with the hotel this week.

JetBlue adds direct route from CHS to LaGuardia

Starting July 1, JetBlue will begin daily service between Charleston International Airport and New York’s LaGuardia Airport as part of a code-sharing agreement with American Airlines.
