S.C. union membership rate remains lowest in U.S.

South Carolina had approximately 47,000 union members in 2019, 2.2% of the people employed in the state, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is half a percentage point lower than in 2018, despite an increase in employment in the Palmetto State.

Judson Mill targeted as next mill for redevelopment

Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC has closed a $31 million construction loan for Judson Mill. The funding is for the first phase, which is the residential portion of the mixed-use development.
