Bamberg company buys Northeast flex building

Brabham Oil Co. purchased 130 Pinnacle Point for $4.7 million in a transaction facilitated by Trinity Partners. The 111,509-square-foot industrial flex building was 93% leased to two long-term tenants. 

Half-Moon Outfitters to repurpose Summerville property for 9th location

For five years, owner Beezer Molten pursued a 17,000-square-foot abandoned car dealership as his ideal downtown Summerville location. The transaction closed at $2.21 million, and Molten hopes to open for Halloween.

Recruiters comb Upstate to staff offices

Despite record unemployment numbers in 2020, Upstate hiring agencies are scouring the labor pool to fill high-skilled professional positions. National staffing employment reached its highest peak in 10 months in November with at least 48% of staffing companies in the American Staffing Association reporting an increase in assignments each week.

More than 2,900 applicants to receive $65M in relief funds

A total of 2,970 small and minority businesses and nonprofit organizations will receive SC Cares Act Relief funding. The S.C. Department of Administration coordinated the program payments, which will occur through January.

Richland County leads state in initial claims increases

For the week ending Dec. 26, Richland County saw 675 initial unemployment claims as the total claims in the state increased by 968 from the previous week. South Carolina is awaiting federal guidance to implement extended federal benefits. 

Peruvian rotisserie chain comes to Upstate

Viva Chicken may be from Charlotte, but the fast-casual rotisserie stop is bringing street food recipes from Peru to two Greenville locations. The restaurant, specializing in pollo a la brasa or charcoal-fire roasted chicken, announced its Upstate expansion Monday.
