The food product manufacturer, founded in 1947, is investing $9.4 million to expand a pair of Indian Land facilities in a move expected to create 108 jobs.

Anderson CEO appointed to Tri-County Tech Commission

President and CEO of the Anderson Restaurant Group, Hamid Mohsseni, has been nominated by Gov. Henry McMaster to serve on Tri-County Technical College’s Commission. Mohsseni is also a member of the Anderson Economic Development Board, which he formerly served as chairman.

Officials: herbicide restrictions could harm key crop harvest

Officials with Clemson University’s Department of Pesticide Regulation warn that new herbicide prohibitions could devastate South Carolina’s cotton and soybean harvest. Under EPA regulations, the sale and distribution of three widespread herbicides will be prohibited after July 31 in the state. Herbicide dealers are advised to stop all sales of the product.
