Electrolux plans to hire 800 by October

Electrolux is adding a third shift to its new facility in Anderson, with plans to fill 350 positions by July and another 450 by October. Staffing firm HTI will oversee hiring.

Ross investing $68 million in York County expansion

The off-price apparel and home fashion company’s expansion of its distribution and warehousing operations is expected to create 700 jobs in the next 5 years. Ross, an off-price apparel and home fashion company, was founded in 1982 and has retail operations in more than 1,800 locations in the U.S. and Guam.

Eaton expansion brings 30 jobs to Greenwood

Power management technology company Eaton is expanding its Greenwood County operations with the addition of 30 new jobs. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $100,000 Set-Aside grant to the county to assist with costs of the transition.

South Carolina approved for online SNAP purchasing

The state, along with Utah, will be able to provide online food purchases through authorized retailers. The U.S. Department of Agriculture said more than 558,000 individuals in S.C. currently receive SNAP benefits. 

Bon Secours St. Francis welcomes COVID-19-killing robots

The Bon Secours St. Francis Health System has enlisted two COVID-19-killing robots into its disinfecting fleet. The hospital is the first in the Upstate to employ LightStrike Germ-Zapping Robots.
