Basketball tournament impact estimated at $3.1M

The Southeastern Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament brought 45,093 visitors last week to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, making an economic impact of the area of about $3.1 million.

PRC Laser to relocate to Ladson

The company, a manufacturer of industrial lasers and laser systems, is moving its headquarters from New Jersey to Charleston County. The company is investing $1.4 million to renovate its space and is expected to create 73 new jobs.

Sky Foster, communications manager at BMW Manufacturing, on Friday was named the 2020 S.C. Manufacturers Alliance Woman of the Year at the Palmetto Women’s Manufacturing Forum in Spartanburg.
