Sapient Advisors acquires 1st Columbia property

The 74-069-square-foot, Class A Berkeley Building in the St. Andrews submarket has been acquired by an affiliate of Texas-based Sapient, which owns several properties in Charleston. Trinity Partners brokered the transaction and will remain as the property's leasing team.

CenturyLink to expand fiber network throughout Lowcountry

CenturyLink Inc. is expanding its fiber network infrastructure in the Charleston region to meet the Lowcountry’s demand for high-speed internet and data capacity. The expansion is expected to be completed by midyear.

A patient-led foundation closely tied to the Greenwood Genetic Center has landed a portion of $13.5 million in funding to pursue cures and treatments for rare diseases.The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative announced the funding to be shared by 30 patient-led organizations working to find treatments and cures for rare diseases.

Volvo Car Open celebrating 20 years in Charleston

The Volvo Car Open will return to Charleston next month. The event is celebrating two decades in the Lowcountry. The Volvo Car Open is the largest women’s-only tennis tournament in North America. About 90,000 spectators attend annually.
