Defense Engineering Services is expanding its Charleston County operations. The defense contractor was founded in 2013 and specializes in survivability, vehicle systems and mechanical engineering for the government and private companies in the aerospace and defense industry nationwide.

NHE builds first N.C. affordable housing community

Greenville’s NHE Inc. and Creative Builders are teaming up to launch construction on NHE’s first affordable housing complex in North Carolina. The development, Parkside at Hickory Group, will house 80 units near downtown Charlotte.

$13 million in grants approved for 19 S.C counties
