| JP Morgan Chase looks to connect S.C. globally The bank is going all in on its major branch expansion in the Carolinas, with plans to open 90 new branches and hire 700 employees between both states. The company’s first branch in South Carolina opened in Clemson last fall, and in October a second was launched in Mount Pleasant. Countybank expands commercial banking services Countybank is expanding its reach with a new commercial loan location in Simpsonville. The company said the office will put the bank in a position to serve the growth of the area while bringing services to businesses dealing with the pandemic. | 
The West Columbia generic respiratory drug manufacturer raised the final beam on part of a $215.8 million expansion at its Saxe-Gotha Industrial Park campus Tuesday. Included in the expansion will be a vaccine production, chemotherapy and antibiotic wing.
The Duke Endowment has granted $1.25 million to the museum to help fund final needs prior to its opening in March 2022, with $1 million going to the museum’s endowment and $250,000 allocated for unrestricted needs until the opening. The museum is under construction near Charleston's waterfront.
