Building once housing nuclear reactor controls demolished

It’s the end of an era at the Savannah River Site. Fluor-led Savannah River Nuclear Solutions finished the demolition of a building that once contained the control system, manufactured by a well-known auto company, for rods housed in five nuclear reactor vessels during the Cold War.

S.C Ports October volumes reach within 1% of 2019 totals

The S.C. Port Authority has had a strong month as container, vehicle and inland ports volumes continue to recover, and the first cargo-handling equipment arrives at the Hugh K. Leatherman Sr. Terminal. The terminal is set to open in March.

Columbia-area law firms merge
