Mobile Communications America expands with acquisition

Mobile Communications America in Spartanburg, a provider of wireless communication solutions, has acquired Communications Service Center, a full-service wireless integrator in Greenville. Details of the acquisition were not provided.

Carver Maritime to expand North Charleston operations

Shipping and warehousing company Carver Maritime LLC plans to expand its existing operations in North Charleston with a new processing and distribution center slated to open by the summer. The $14 million investment is expected to create 22 new jobs.

S.C.-based 3D printing companies expand partnership

The partnership between ZVerse Inc. and 3D Systems will provide 3D System customers access to ZVerse’s network of designers. Customers will receive process-specific design guidance and file optimization services.

Tecklenburg secures 2nd term

Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg won a second term in Tuesday’s runoff election, beating District 8 Councilman Mike Seekings. In Charleston City Council District 3, Jason Sakran beat Councilman James Lewis Jr., becoming the fourth new face on City Council come January.
