Southeastern Freight Lines opens new Piedmont service center

A trucking company specializing in less-than-truckload transportation services and last-mile service has opened a new center in Piedmont with room to grow its 230-person workforce. It’s the center’s fifth expansion in 55 years.

Richland County property tax bills to include fee increase

While the county property tax rate will not increase for 2020, bills will include an increase in solid waste services fees of about 13%. Tax bills, including 177,000 real estate tax notices, are being sent out today and are due Jan. 15.

Lowcountry IAAM receives new markets tax credits

The $5.5 million from the TD Community Development Corp. will be used to create jobs and fund exhibit space at the International African American Museum, which is set to open in late 2021.
