| Lowcountry publishing company expanding road trip guides Wildsam Field Guides, which was acquired by Mount Pleasant’s Arcadia Publishing in 2019, is expanding its series of travel guides across the country. In 2019, Arcadia Publishing also purchased Pelican Publishing. Earlier this year, the Mount Pleasant-based publisher of local history books, acquired River Road Press. New project to collect S.C. COVID-19 information The SC STRONG project will test 32,500 randomly selected state residents, who will also complete a confidential survey. The project will track infection and immunity rates as well as identify health inequities. | 
S.C.'s governor will deliver the closing keynote address during the S.C. Manufacturing Conference & Expo at 2 p.m. Oct. 30. This year, the expo is going online, including keynotes from economic development officials, industry leaders and others devoted to ensuring the viability of manufacturing in the Palmetto State.
