S.C. victims services groups to receive $37 million

The funding, 98% of which comes from federal grants, will be distributed to nonprofits, sheriff’s offices, police departments, solicitor’s offices and state agencies next month. Among the recipients are sheriff's departments in Richland and Lexington counties.

Furman University readies to build indoor golf facility

Furman’s first phase of REK Complex renovations will feature a new indoor golf training facility that coaches say will help recruit talent from across the country. The project is funded by donors, including two golf team alumni who built professional careers. Construction will begin this fall.

Sullivan’s seafood restaurant in Lowcountry closing after 32 years

Another restaurant is lost to the pandemic as Sullivan’s seafood restaurant shutters permanently. The eatery’s owners plan to publish a cookbook of the most requested recipes served at the restaurant, but they said the time was right to walk away.
