Liebe Weinfreunde, den Lugana von Ca' Lojera haben wir Ihnen an dieser Stelle vor rund einem Jahr bereits empfohlen und tun es aus Überzeugung wieder. Der in fast allen Weinregionen Europas als herausragend zu bezeichnende 2015er Jahrgang hat, diesen ohnehin schon vorzüglichen Wein nochmals etwas besser gemacht. Am Gardasee, dem größten der malerischen oberitalienischen Seen, ist der derzeit trendigste italienische Weißwein zuhause: Lugana. Mit seiner frischen, gehaltvoll-fruchtigen und säurearmen Art ist er auch zum italienischen Lieblingsweißwein der Deutschen geworden. Hinter dem Weingut Ca' Lojera in Peschiera del Garda verbirgt sich eine interessante Geschichte, auf die wir bereits in unserer scherzhaft gemeinten Überschrift Bezug genommen haben. In grauen Vorzeiten, als der Gardasee und der kleine Frassino See durch ein Netz von Kanälen verbunden waren, kamen aus dem Norden Schiffe mit "schwarzen Händlern", welche die Häuser am Uferrand als Lager und Versteck für ihre Schmuggelware verwendeten. Es wird beschworen, dass jene Verstecke von Wölfen bewacht wurden. Das Weingut Ca' Lojera der Familie Tiraboschi heißt dementsprechend "Haus der Wölfe". Für die Weine von Ambra und Franco Tiraboschi werden ausschließlich Trauben aus den eigenen, rund 14 Hektar umfassenden, Weinbergen verwendet.
