Most time capsules are filled with newspapers, photos and other bits and bobs - but on this day in 1973, the Department of the Capital Territory was set to pull up a capsule buried during the dark days of World War II. It contained documents that would have allowed the re-establishment of the city's leases in the event large parts of Canberra were destroyed, presumably during feared Japanese bombing raids.  READ MORE
