Louisiana schools chief calls for stricter school discipline

School discipline: State schools chief Cade Brumley wants schools to be stricter on disruptive students this school year, citing two new state laws that make it easier for teachers to suspend or expel those students, Patrick Wall reports.  


Cassidy bill clears Senate: The U.S Senate has backed a crackdown on how social media companies interact with children and teens, Mark Ballard reports. The bill, cosponsored by Sen. Bill Cassidy, of require the platforms to work to prevent cyberbulling and other problems. 


Trump assassination attempt: U.S. Rep. Clay Higgins has been tapped to join a U.S. House investigation into the attempt on former President Donald Trump's life at a Pennsylvania rally earlier this month, Ballard reports.
