Good morning and thanks for joining us. Here are some of the day's top headlines.
Ten Commandments: Louisiana is known for occupying the lower echelons of many lists ranking U.S. states, but it can now count itself first on one of them: It's the first state to require that public universities and K-12 schools display the Ten Commandments in every classroom. Elyse Carmosino has the details.
Public money, private schools: The Louisiana Senate passed a bill Thursday night that would give parents tax money to pay for private schools. The bill was passed over objections by Democrats and some Republicans concerned about the cost and the harm it could cause to public education. Patrick Wall has the story.
Clergy sex-abuse suit: A judge ruled Thursday that survivors of child sexual abuse by members of the Catholic clergy will have to wait to tell their stories in court. Stephanie Riegel has this report.
